Learning Should Be Inquiry-Based.

Students should be encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas. Students should be engaged in the learning process. Teachers will guide and facilitate learning, but ultimately it is the responsibility of the students to learn. Active communication between teacher and student is essential.

Learning Is An Individual Process.

CAL PREP recognizes that each student is a unique individual with different strengths, interests, and needs. Our curriculum and approach to instruction are customized to meet the needs of each student.

Learning Should Be Integrative.

CAL PREP believes education should be integrative, bringing together different subject areas and disciplines. Students should see connections between other subject areas and real-world applications. In order to engage students in the learning process, the materials must be relevant to their lives and experiences.
